In the last few weeks we've had more and more spammers dumping their garbage into our bug report notes. I've avoided locking down the tracker to require registration as it seems to me that we get lots of great reports from people that don't have the time or desire to setup an account.
I had a bounty posted on the Mantis site for a captcha test (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha) [^] for guest note postings, but no one took it up. So i just wrote my own tonight which seems to work pretty good.
Anyway sorry for the inconvenience guests, but this is needed to keep those spammers away.
